$5000 Contest November 4, 2009 update « Thread Started on Nov 4, 2009, 3:06am »
What a stupid idea this contest was. The idea was to get people interested in the contest and that way we would have a bunch of people checking our website to see if the clover came up. The more people who visited our website, the more the search engines would think our website was popular. The more popular our website, the higher it ranks in search engines. The higher it ranked in search engines, the more free internet traffic we would receive and we would be getting advertising free of charge. With the value of this advertising, we would be able to justify paying some lucky person $5000. That's a great concept on paper but it's not working. I update and track visitors on our website. I know exactly how many people are coming and visiting and the people who are visiting the $5000 page. What a disappointment.
I was all excited about placing difficult clues in mysterious places all over our website, but I'm so sad of the lack of interest that I just want to get it over with and give some fortunate soul $5000 and he or she can laugh at the rest of you guys. SO I guess I'll start the clues. Kind of pointless because no one is really even looking at these pages. If you don't believe me, look at the bottom of the front page of the forum. It shows how many people have visited the forum in the past 24 hours. Right now, it looks like less than 100. With 24 hours a day, that's less than 4 people per hour.
Clover is going to show up in 2009. Wow, that was a real difficult clue. I'm still a little bummed about the lack of interest in the contest. The good news is that it currently narrows it down to less than 60 days. Some lucky person in the next 60 days is going to win $5000. Good luck and could you act a little excited.
By the way, if you don't know about our contest, go to our main website and click the "Win $5000" image to see how easy it is to play.
