That link have a bunch of intresting info but i didn't see anything specifically about chimneys. I wonder when the chimney industry is going to be more state regulated, if ever?

18 VAC 50-30-50 section C (states)
4. Installers of wood stove equipment, masonry chimneys or prefabricated fireplaces shall be exempt from certification as an HVAC tradesman; and
